Supporting Green Initiatives:
Radiant Window Cleaning is committed to support Green Certified Products. Green cleaning is defined as cleaning to protect health without harming the environment. This includes building occupants, cleaning personnel, and the environment. The following are third party organizations that certify products used by Radiant Window Cleaning:
DfE (Design for the Environment) is an EPA program where the US Government partners with a product manufacturer in the creation and certification process. This means that the DfE scientific review team has screened each ingredient for potential human health and environmental effects based on currently available information. Product manufacturers who become DfE partners, and earn the right to display the DfE logo on recognized products, have invested heavily in research, development and reformulation, to ensure that their ingredients and finished products are on the green end of the environmental spectrum, while maintaining or improving product performance.
Enviro-KleenTM provides a third party certification program operated by a respected compliance company ChemTel. The program certifies environmentally preferable products in order to address the growing demand for products that have the least negative impact on the environment and are safe for personal use. ChemTel developed the Enviro-Kleen Certification Program following Executive Order 13101, which directs federal agencies and their contractors to identify and purchase chemicals which have been designated as environmentally preferable. ChemTel provides critical compliance services to chemical manufacturers and transporters as well as green certification.
Favorable Environmental Profile (FEP) is a green cleaning program designed specifically as a environmentally friendly standard for aerosol products and represents the best in class currently available for a greener aerosol product. Amrep manufactures over 300 different formulations for the cleaning industry an saw the need for a green cleaner in an aerosol can. While aerosols are not currently considered for LEED building structures, many cleaning environments benefit from aerosol delivery as a safe, cost effective, low spill rate and practical way to apply cleaners to surfaces in many tough to clean environments.
Green Seal is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to safeguarding the environment and transforming the marketplace by promoting the manufacture, purchase, and use of environmentally responsible products and services. Green Seal Certification ensures that a product meets rigorous, science-based environmental leadership standards. This gives professional cleaners and property managers the assurance that the manufacturer has backed up their claims about producing certified products that are better for human health and the environment.
